yf222000 Watch the typical Total RMS guide error that you get with your mount when it is not dithering (the number is on the right of the Guide Graph in the guide window). Depending on the mount's quality, loading, balance and "seeing," the peak total error is typically between 0.25" to 3".
Next go to the Guide camera's Dither Settings window. Initially try and select a "Stability" value that is a factor of 2 or so larger than the worst Total RMS value. I.e., if the worst Total RMS error is 1", set the stability to 2".
If the guide error is larger than the stability value, autoguiding will not resume. (Wth v1.5, ASIAIR will ignore the stability value after the timeout period. If you set the timeout to 30 seconds, autoguiding will still resume after 30 seconds even if the mount has not yet settled after a dither operation.)
If it starts working and autoguiding now resumes, you can then fine tune and reduce the stability value so that you resume exposures only after you have settled to a lower error (less chance of oblong stars). But do not choose a stability value that is so low that your mount is incapable of achieving it.
