ASI 294MC broken after drying dessicant

Hi, I managed to break my ASI294MC after opening it and drying the desiccants 🤢 . I followed the instructions in https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/manuals/How_to_clean_ASI_camera_and_redry_the_desiccant.pdf, but did not realize that when closing it again it is important to make sure the tablets are properly aligned within the chamber. The tablets ended up over the connector and the pressure must have done something to it, because now it fails(drops) on every picture. I tried opening and carefully pushing the connector around a bit, this made it work for a very short while, before it broke again. I suspect the soldering of the connector has come loose due to the pressure. This is something you really need to highlight in your instructions I think. Is there any hope of repairing the camera at a reasonable cost? Or a tiny discount on a new camera 😅

Just wondering, is it quite common to do this sort of thing in specialised DSO camera's? ie is a User expected to do the same when they buy camera from for eg QHY or Atik.

Also opening the camera on the explicit instructions of the manufacturer shouldn’t/wouldn’t void the warranty therefore should be fixable under warranty.

just asking as I’m expecting a cooled camera hopefully soon (ASI 071), therefore hoping not having to do the same 😏

I was hoping for a small emphatic comment on repair options(or not) at least 🤔....

I am now considering my options wrt replacing the camera, I see that your competition have a solution with an external desiccant tube. Opening felt risky before I started and in fact did turn out disastrous...
