Few days ago I unpacked my new ASI1600mmpro and the ASIAIRpro along with it. As far as I can see all work fine, the "control" via the app on my iPhone is quite impressive. However, - of course on can try out and test many things - what would the "general" advice be concerning choice of gain and temperature. The camera manual says something like "...Depending on your target, you can set the gain lower for higher dynamic range (longer exposure ) or set the gain higher for lower noise ( such as short exposure or lucky imaging)." Ok, what would be realistic empirical values ? Thanks for your advice.
