Hi ZWO team,
using the latest "ASI Cameras" v3.0.0.11 native driver installation, along with "ZWO ASCOM" v6.5.1, Sharpcap 3.2.6448, ASIStudio 1.3.
I recently acquired an ASI294MM Pro. The camera works beautifully in Sharpcap (using the native ZWO driver) and in ASIStudio.
Problems start when I use the camera from the ASCOM driver:
In Sharpcap, there are two cameras that appear ("ASI Camera 1", and "ASI Camera 2"). Both open the 294MM as if it were a "492", with a resolution of 8288x6544 pixels. I thought this so-called "unlocked" IMX492 mode was not yet available.(src) See the attached screenshot for an example. While a bit noisy, the image look fine though 😉

PHD2 reports that the camera (used via ASCOM) has a pixel size of 2.3um. Same remark as above.
What's more, if you access the camera once through ASCOM, the native driver goes nuts afterwards (as seen from ASICap or Sharpcap) : the image returned is indeed 4144x2822 again, but seems to be vertically binned x2 ...and not horizontally. As a result, stars appear elongated horizontally, and only the left half of the field can be seen. I could verify that by centering a large star: afterwards, only half the star disk could be seen on the right edge of the field. The only solution is to completely disconnect the camera (USB and 12V power), reconnect, then it works fine again "as a 294".
