equipment - ASIAIR PRO - ASI 120 mini - Star Adventurer Pro - William Optics Base Mount I have a concrete telescope pier. I leave the base mount on permanently. I get excellent polar alignment results. Can I skip polar alignment and go directly to guiding without plate solving with ASIPRO
I have similar setup with permanent base. I do a plate-solve at the home position, just to check all is working, but don't do a polar alignment. Seems to work fine for later guiding etc., but I'm quite new to this.
