Hello
One year ago I adquired a 183 mc pro camera, in order to do DSO imaging, and having in mind an alternative use for planetary imaging. There are other camera models that perform better than this, but I expected a good was expecting a good performance, better than the first camera I have, 120mc-s model. 183 has more sensitivity, Qe, resolution, and has a 4/5 star ranking for planetary work, as anyone can see in this comparison, which appears on the web
https://compare.astronomy-imaging-camera.com/.
So in these last weeks I am using the 183 camera and its performance is very poor, compared to the 120, because it lacks a lot of sensitivity. I have years of experience with the use of astronomical cameras and I do not know what is the cause of this problem, maybe it is my own camera, or.a firmware/software problem or a general problem with this model, in which case it should not be advertised as a good planetary camera. In my case, I would like to use for everything, DSO and planetary, and if it does not work well in planetary, the manufacturer should give a solution or fix the problem. In fact the normal version of 183 is used and advertised as a good planetary camera. Is there any solution ? What should I do?
