Are you trying to extend the ASIAIR as a hotspot, or are you trying to extend the ASIAIR to reach your home network?
In both cases, arguably the best way is to find an extender that has a LAN (Ethernet) port.
If you are trying to get a larger range when you are away from home, connect the ASIAIR to the WiFi extender with a CAT5 or CAT6 cable. Then follow the instructions for your extender to default it as a hotspot. You then connect your tablet to the extender's Hotspot SSID.
If you are trying to connect the ASIAIR to your home network, follow the extender's instructions and configure it as an extender to your Home Network's SSID. Once that is done, simply connect a CAT5 or CAT6 cable between the ASIAIR and the extender. You connect the tablet to the home network's SSID.
When connected as I described above, once an active Ethernet connection is made to the ASIAIR, it will auto detect it, and there nothing that you will need to set up on ASIAIR. All the configurations will be on your extender. You should see the activity LED on the ASIAIR's RJ45 connector flashing as it talks to the extender.
Don't be impatient. it can take a while for the extender to boot and for ASIAIR to make connection. Power both on, wait two minutes, then start up the ASIAIR app on your tablet.
If it is the first time you are connected (or you have switched network), you will need to tap the green Next button on the first window, where it tells you ASIAIR is not found. The following window should show the ASIAIR devices that are discovered on the top right hand part of the window. If not, tap on the Scan button to try to rescan. Once the scan finds one or more ASIAIR, select the one you want, and tap on the large Connect button at the bottom of the window.
