Hi,
I've been using the ASIair Pro for more than 8 months and really enjoy this fabulous red box !
My set up consists in a newton 200/1000, an AZ-EQ6 GT pro and an optical train made up of a Zwo OAG, a SW Coma corrector GPU, an ASI 294 MC Pro for imaging and an ASI 290 MM Mini for autoguiding.
Since the new firmware release, I've also bought the EAF and now I can remotely control from hiome and enjoy it a lot.
This week, with the Moon, I had a short night due to clouds rolling in.
I did my P.A, I checked out a goto with Vega to finetune my focus with the EAF, and decided to make a Goto toward the Moon a little bit southward, unfortunately, I couldn't get it !
Everytime the goto would slew past the Mon and stay a few degrees south of it.
I decided to power off my ASIait, do it all all other again, make a goto to another target, for instance M45, and I was spot on it, the Crosshair and the new annotate function confirmed the good target even though I didn't need that to know I had M45 in my crosshair ! ;-)
I then tried a new Goto the Moon, but again, the ASIair slewed a few degrees southward !
I eventually used the manual mode to be able to shoot a few photos and had previously switched the sidereal mode to "Lunar".
I use an eqmod cable connected to my mount to sync both my ASIair and my mount, and no ST4 and no handset controller is connected to my mount.
What went wrong ?
Thanks for your help,
Philippe
