Novice needing assistance

Just bought an ASI6200. Full well of 51.4ke and ADC of 16bit suggest a gain of 0.78. I cannot relate this value to the available range of gain on the software of 0 to 700, Any guidance would be helpful. I also do not understand the brightness/offset tool.

We recommend the ASIstudio，you do not to set the gain and offset manually,
Or you are using the Ascom ,we also recommand keep the default gain and offset，especially for the new users,,

the 700 gain is digital gain from the software

Thanks. I have read all the manuals and other sources as well. What I can't understand is the difference between GAIN as e/ADU (which I understand) and Gain on the horizontal axis of the graphs in decibels. Is the horizontal axis on all four graphs the same Gain in decibels? What is the mathematical basis of the range of 0 to 700 as gain in the software? Is the second graph a plotting of GAIN in e/ADU and Gain in decibels?
