Camera Focus

I am sure this has been discussed before and I am sorry for revisiting, of course none of the topics are exact to my situation so it "feels different"... I have done alot of trouble shooting but continue to fight this issue.

I have a TPO 8 in RC scope, and an ASI1600mm PRO CCD - I am fairly sure I am in good back focus at 250mm for the scope as well I have "day tested" and get reasonable focus on trees about 8 blocks away...

I cannot get ASI studio or APT or any other planetary imaging software to focus at night, it is either black or full of "blinking fake stars" - my guide scope a blue one from Astromania "SGCMOS Series Telescope CMOS Camera" - I ordered an ASI because it will not seem to work with my ASI Pro.... anyways neither scope will "focus" at night... I have tried many settings of course and about 2 hours of changing back focus and rolling focus back and forth to find focus with no luck... can you all please suggest some things please?

I have about $3000 in ASI hardware over all... and entire day on the forum of the manufacturer with not a single reponse.....lolol

Hi, I'm sorry for late reply.
You can point the telescope to a distant building during the day and try to focus. When this is done, try to point your telescope to the moon and gently adjust the focuser to focus. Finally, try Mars, Jupiter and other planets.
