The iOS IPA image for ASIAIR runs fine on my Apple Silicon MacBookPro running macOS 11.1 Big Sur.
But I much prefer using an iPad (holding a laptop while polar aligning is a pain). The ASIAIR GUI is also more natural on a touch interface than with a mouse interface.
If you prefer using the keyboard/mouse paradigm, take a look at INDIGO Sky, an INDIGO server running in Raspberry Pi, with backend (PHD2, AstroImager, etc) able to run on desktops machines, including MacOS X and macOS.

P.S., most of the heavy lifting in ASIAIR happens in the Raspberry Pi processor. The only time the M1 chip-based MacBookPro feels faster than an iPad Pro is when rendering an image to the display after it has been downloaded to the iPad.
