Raspbian works with some of the existing WiFi dongles. I tried this one that I have on hand, and it worked with ASIAIR:

The problem is that this particular dongle is only good for 150 Mbps (still better than 0 Mbps :-). I tried two other faster dongles that I have (manufactured by EDUP), and neither of them worked.
If you prefer simplicity and don't mind slow transfer speed, you can try the above Edimax model.
Personally, since my home network is based on the eero Mesh network, I currently have an eero router at the base of my tri-pier. It is powered through a 12V to 9V Power Delivery adapter, and directly connected with a CAT6 cable to the ASIAIR Pro. It is basically equivalent to connecting the ASIAIR directly to my mesh network.
