I have the ASI 2600mc since a while and lately realized I have halos around brighter stars (always using APT).
The same equipment (Esprite Apo) does not produce halos using a dslr.
I have all drivers installed and in APT I set the dew heater on "on":
a friend has the same equipemt, but has another window in APT:
Does this matter? He does not see any halos.
My questions:
is there a way to verify if the dew heater works?
Does it matter how it is turned on, like one or both of the above or does it need another way?
Does someone have an idea what causes the halos?
