[Asiair Pro v1.5 FM676 and HEQ5 with EQMOD]
Last night I programmed a meridian flip in Autorun for the first time and made sure I was around when the target hit the meridian just to be sure all went as expected. For the most part everything went smoothly but I did notice two things.
First after the flip the star used for guiding was 'lost'. In fact it was right at the very edge of the frame so not exactly well placed. I waited for about 5 mins as I expected the device to locate another star as alternative but it never happened and in the end i had to manually select one. After that all went ok
Secondly I found that after the flip the automatic image load and preview after each exposure did not happen. Normally I would see a 'loading' message and then the new image would appear but after the flip all I saw was an idle message when each exposure completed until the next started. The images were however fine and being stored in the folder as expected.
Has anyone else encountered these issues or have any recommendation on choice of location of the guiding star to prevent issues after the flip
Thanks in advance
Alan
