ASIAir Pro support for Astromechanics EOS Lens Adapter

I am opening yet another discussion to request that ZWO provide support for the Astromechanics EOS lens adapter.

The ASI Pro is the BEST integrated imaging control device on the market today - BAR NONE.

Many people are using the ASIAIR Pro in conjunction with portable configurations which include Canon Lenses adapted to ZWO cameras. The Astromechanics EOS adapter allowing automatic focus control of Canon lenses via the integrated lens electronics is a KEY element in this configuration.

I'm writing to again beg you to provide support for this configuration. As of now I just purchased an ASIAIR Pro - but it will not be of use to me until you provide support for the Astromechanics EOS device.

I've seen that you say you will consider it in the future - I'm opening this because it is NOW the future (relative to those prior posts)... Please consider this support and advise us of an ETA for such support.

So does this mean anything? Are you intending to do anything about this? If not then unfortunately I must sell my ASIAir because it will not work with my configuration. I have this Astromechanics device and Moonlite focusers, neither of which will work with the ASIAir Pro. Sadly.

I have an asiair pro to be able to have a light solution, I have an astromechanics adapter for some time that I use with various lenses. I would also like this adapter could be recognized and driven by asiair pro.

I will add in my request as well - I own a ASIair plus and am very disappointed that it does not support this very popular controller. How many requests does it take to get this on the backlog?

I like asi air too but this is a closed loop environment. The only non zwo drivers operate eq mounts. This keeps the focus primarily on their own products. I prefer it to be that way. You can go open source to ekos if you want 3rd party on every component. Unless zwo makes their own af adapter then its unlikely the astromechanics will work. Another solution would be for astro mechanics to offer external power source to activate the lens and control the aperture via microcontrol, you could also manually focus the lens if it is focus by wire

I would also like to have AsiAir Pro support for the ASTROMECHANICS adapters. That will definitely increase the sales of ASI cameras because people can totally forget buying/modding their Canon cameras. Thank you.

Well here is it - October 2023 and we are still waiting for support of the Astromechanics-eos-lens-adapter in the ASIAir device. I've moved on but I still think you all should provide support for it.
