Bin2 is not the default mode for ASI294MM Pro

I have recently purchased a ASI294MM Pro Camera which was supplied with unlocked Bin1 mode.

For imaging I use MaximDL v6.21 and FocusMax v4.1.0.102 and so control the camera through the ASI ASCOM driver.
I have also used ASIStudio to control the camera using the Native ASI Driver.

In both cases the default mode is Bin1 not Bin2 as stated in the recently updated product specification.

The ASCOM camera driver needs to be updated to allow use of the new ASI294MM Pro cameras with unlocked Bin1 mode to operate correctly at Bin2 mode. At present Bin2 is not the default mode for the camera which is contrary to the stated product specification.

With my current imaging software and telescope setup the ASI294MM Pro is unusable at Bin2. I purchased the camera to use with 4.6um pixel size at 4144 x 2822 pixel resolution as this gives me the optimal plate scale for imaging.

The issue is compounded by a defect in the ASCOM driver for Bin2 mode which causes sub-frame errors where the camera control is unable to correctly calculate and render the dimensions of the sub-frame window
=> please try to adjust the ROI parameters，Set the width to be a multiple of 8，the height to be a multiple of 2

Thanks for your reply. That would be OK as a workaround for manual selection of ROI.

However my setup is fully automated and ROI is selected by software for focussing and plate solving. MaximDL and FocusMax assume the camera control is capable of handling ROI selection correctly. This is normal practice.

You say that Bin2 is the default mode for the camera. In which case I would expect the camera control driver to use an algorithm to correctly handle ROI selection for Bin2 not Bin1.

I hope that the next release of the ASI ASCOM driver is updated to select ROI correctly for Bin2.

This is now fixed in ASI ASCOM driver v6.5.1.3. Thank you for the rapid response to my bug report. Great work ZWO.
