GoTo in RA ASIAIR Pro

I've got an ASIAIR Pro with a SkyGuider Pro with a guide scope. Lining up targets can be a bit difficult, but the plate solving feature on the ASIAIR Pro has made things easier.

My current strategy for aligning to a specific target is to line up my scope manually by adjusting and plate solving iteratively until my Dec coordinates match the target. Then in RA, I slew the mount and plate solve until my coordinates match the target.

I believe a great feature to be added would be able to do a GoTo just in RA when given coordinates. Currently ASIAIR Pro supports guiding in RA only guiding so it is able to already calculate the telescope motion. Using this, the ASIAIR Pro could plate solve its current location, get the number of steps required for a new RA coordinate, slew to it, plate solve, and confirm (or iterate) on the new coordinate.

I am certainly not trying to hijack this thread, but I was thinking about something almost exactly this, so I don't want to create another thread.
Each night we get the Night's Best List that we can choose to GoTo from. That list of course can be many hundreds even thousands of objects. Unfortunately for most of us, obstructions like roof lines or trees etc, make many if not most of those objects observable. Sort of along the lines that jbel is suggesting above here I was wondering if it would be possible for ZWO to add a feature in the GoTo page, where we could enter a Time, RA, and DEC, range and only those objects that fall within that range would be shown. The obvious benefit is that each one of us could actually create our own Best That Night list of objects we that we know we could view within our own individual limitations to view them,

Has there been any follow-up to this request? I think it could be a feature that would greatly increase the audience that Asiair Pro would use. Even owners of an AR-only motorized mount could get great benefits in using Asiair to find objects more easily. I think the simplest solution to implement would be to manage the go-to totally manually, in a similar way to the PA and providing only the indications on the movements to be made through plate solving. An even more advanced functionality could lead to automatically controlling the mount only for the AR axis and then manually centering in DEC following the indications provided in a similar way to the PA.

This would be great. Many use RA only sky guiders for astrophotography. Making it easier to locate deep sky objects would certainly give the asiair a wider market.
