Issue with plate solve and Goto target after PA

HI Guys

Just got the ASIAir Pro and iOptron IEQ30 Pro (used). I have having some issues with 'Zero Position' and Goto Targets.

I managed to do the polar alignment (after leveling, and focusing the scope from CW down and scope up position. I assume this is the zero position as I booted the mount up here). During PA, I let the zwo move the mount to 60 degrees
then I unlocked the RA, and manually moved the mount to the Zero position
after PA, Moved the scope manually using the arrow keys on ZWO ASIAir Pro software to random part of the sky
Took a Preview photo + Platesolved (it did seem to suggest that the plate solving worked)
Synced the results of plate solving with the scope (mount)
Then these are the issues
When i try GOTO, the scope tries to go to random location and hits the legs of the tripod
Goto Zero position also goes to random location (hitting the legs of the mount)

What am i doing wrong?

P.S.: I seem to start the scope / mount in a position with the DEC axis 180 degree from what is usually shown on the manual. I.e., the DEC and the RA locks are on opposite sides (the iOptron manual seem to show them at the same side). Will that matter?

I'm a newb here but have never had the problem you mention, so maybe I am confused at what you are doing. After the 60 degree slew and that plate solve I NEVER, UNLOCK and then rotate the mount back to the home position. I finish the PA from the 60 degree position, after I hit the LETS GO command. Once I'm done with the PA final adjustments from that position, ( 60 degrees from the original home position ) I either tell the mount to go to home position ( WITHOUT UNLOCKING IT ) or try to use the GO TO command from where I finished the PA. It seems to me that by unlocking and freely rotating your OTA your mount still knows where it is pointing, but it also thinks your OTA is pointing that way too. By unlocking and rotating it, there is now a 60 degree difference between them. My guess at what is causing your problem. But being a newb myself Who knows :-))
