I had an ASI 385MC cool that just recently died that was perfect for this task (high sensitivity, large pixel size, and low native resolution of 3MP).
I am looking through ZWO's camera I don't seem to see a 2020-2021 camera that would be a suitable replacement with high pixel size and high sensitivity needed for EAA and Star Parties to get something on the screen fast.
Are there any newer ASI cameras that are designed for EAA that are 2-3 MP? Or that can do an ROI down to 2 or 3 MP? (1920x1200) so that the object isn't tiny on a real time monitor? Remember that in EAA (live viewing) you cannot do live ROI unless the ASIAIR Pro finally supports that.
I live in Phoenix and cooling is a must to avoid tons of hot pixels imaging when it is 37.7c / 100+ degrees at night. It also needs to be an ASI camera to work with my ASIAIR Pro.
My best guess would be the ZWO ASI533MC Pro since the 294MC Pro has a higher resolution, and thus the object would be smaller on my 10" tablet running my ASIAIR Pro.
Thanks!
