Yes, all correct, Giorgio.
If you are pulse guiding through the mount protocol, you will be going through the same cable that you use to slew your mount, and you will not need the ST-4 cable.

Not your fault. It is caused by lack of documentation from ZWO.
No harm with the extra cable though, except perhaps extra cable drag.
But you should notice nothing changes when you remove the cable.
With all the autoguiding bugs in ASIAIR, some of us hope that we can guide using ST-4 and still be able to slew the mount by selecting the proper mount.
