Fits header Filter user input (when not using a filter wheel) I am imaging with both the ASI2600MC but am not using a filter wheel but a filter drawer. The Fits headers usually contains the filter used. This is properly written (I am guessing) when the filter wheel is used. For manual use of filters, nothing get written in that specific field (i.e. NoFilter) for good reason. One major improvement for me (and most likely fairly simple to implement) would be to allow the user to enter by hand the name of the filter used such as L-Extreme, L-Pro etc. I also just received the ASI2600MM recently and am planning to not use a filter wheel yet and still rely on my filter drawer. I have therefore no way to differentiate the subs for each Ha, Sii, Oiii automatically from the header.
Realigning subs of several nights within ASI AIR pro software (especially rotation) I do not have the luxury of imaging from my home and need to travel. I therefore need to image over several nights especially far apart in days. I am finding hard to realign the object correctly beyond the usual RA/DEC alignment ... especially the rotation. It would be nice to be able to visualize a previous sub and mark points on the sub, then look at the current preview and see those points. This would greatly help in properly rotating the image to better align. The end goal is to maximize the pixel use of the camera.
Thanks
