Hello, I have a telescope RC8 with 1624mm FL with an ASI 183MC for imaging, which gives me a 0.47 ° x 0.31 ° FOV. The problem comes when Asiair is unable to plate solve wherever I point to, even the focus is perfectly done and the sky is clear with any cloud around. Also tried to fix it attaching a 0.67x focal reducer, which change the FL into 1088mm, but the problem is still the same with the new 0.69 ° x 0.46 ° FOV.
In both cases Asiair takes more than 90 seconds and after that the "Failed!" message appears. Of course in both cases I introduced the correct focal length in the app. Also entered value "0" instead, in order to let Asiair calculate it for me, but the issue still persists.
Any clue about it? If is a problem with the stars database, is it possible to update it for adding more stars? If so, how?
