You have all heard the story before. I just switched from a DSLR T3I to ZWO ASI 533. I need help with settings in sharp cap. Sharp cap gives me RGB 24, raw 8 and raw 16. With a one shot color I do not think I would pick the mono version. Which one should I use. Also, what photo format should I use FITS or TIFFs.
I have read some threads and by some account, if I use RAW 16 bit I have to debrayer.
I have not spent the funds for Pixsinsight and really not up for the total leaning curve at this time. I stack my images in deep sky stacker and post process in GIMP. Does DSS debrayer photos that were taken in RAW 16 bit. Is it just a check the box thing in DSS.
Another question I also purchased the L extreme filter. While stacking in DSS is there any other special setting I need to check when using this filter.
