For those who own one of the newer Skywatcher mounts with the updated USB chipset, the AAP will not connect with a standard USB cable as you may know. Thanks to a brilliant guy named Tim on GitHub the problem can be solved by updating the kernel on the SD card. I’ve done this update a few times so I have downloaded a fresh copy of the card image, updated it to the latest firmware and performed the kernel update on it. Since it has no license applied, someone would just have to download it, copy it to a clean card and apply their own license to it. Since it has no license applied and the folks at ZWO have linked to the article on how to perform the update, I am willing to share this file provided nobody at ZWO has an issue with me doing so. Is there anyone monitoring this forum from ZWO who can say yes or no before I share the file?
