I am assuming the window goes against the nose piece end and the rubber oring lays on top. Then screw on camera body?????? The rubber oring goes around the chip?
That's right. I opened my 224 to solve this. There is two ways to do this:
1) Put the camera on the table and center the o-ring around the PCB/CMOS. Then center the window on top of the o-ring. Screw the top lid on. Be careful when you screw the last threads so o-ring doesn't start to move sideways.
2) Connect a 2" nose piece or similar T2 to get a firm grip of the camera lid. Put it on the table nose piece down and camera lid up. Now it is easy to put window in first and o-ring on top. O-ring centers itself in the window chamber. Take a good grip of the nose piece and screw the camera back on.
I prefer alternative 2 because it is much easier to center the o-ring.
