First and most importantly the capacity of the 32Gb memory card would not be enough for a full imaging session at Bin 1 with the ASI294 (I have a non-pro ASIAIR). I'm not even sure the non-pro ASIAIR can handle such files? And what about download times?
Second 47 Mpix need a lot of processing power and storage capacity on the computer, which are wasted if the image is cropped at the end.
As many people I image from a light-polluted area, hence using short subs, and an LRGB image of a single object amounts typically to several hundreds pictures.
Having crop modes in ASIAIR, not only for FF sensors but also for smaller ones, would be helpful I think in lot of cases, especially as the pixel density of sensors increase.
In the case of the ASI294MM, it would be a game-changer for galaxy imaging with medium focal lengths.
