No Wifi light

I just got my ASIAirPro and powered it up, the wifi light blinks a few times and then goes out permanently. I cannot connect to it with my phone, no network found.

Anyone have an idea on what to do? I have a few RaspberryPi's and a linux machine along with a iMac, perhaps there is a file missing or needs configuration?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in Germany and waiting another 4 weeks to receive a replacement would be, well, sad..

There is a WiFi Reset hole right above the WiFi indicator. Give the reset a try using a paper clip, careful that you insert it straight in and not slanted.

If it still fails, try reflashing the microSD card using a blank one that is at least 32 GB in size.

The fastest way is to download a copy of the firmware, burn it into a new microSD card, and manually transferring the license.txt file in the BOOT volume from the existing card to the BOOT volume of the new card. Lots of info in this forum from users.

You can also try the new procedure of getting the license file by taking a QR code image on the ASIAIR and submitting to ZWO.

Once it works, be sure to back the microSD card up.

Thank you! I found version 1.4 and it works, now the device beeps and wifi is up. I saved the old image but there isn't a license file on the boot directory. I will try to see if I can run a recovery from the original card, but after formatting I doubt that is possible
The device is asking for a QR License code, perhaps ZWO or my Dealer can send me that???

This will also happen if you have a MicroSD card in a USB adapter ( using it as a memory device for saving subs ) plugged into a USB port when powering up. I have to take the MicroSD card out of the USB port, power the unit up, then when wifi is working, plug my MicroSD card back into the USB port.

Thanks, I figured it out. Had to download the 1.4 version, then update, and finally go to this webpage

and generate a new license (QR-Code)
Now I am in business!
