ZWO 294 non cooled colour camera

I keep hearing that this camera has 2 operating modes and resolutions. The second mode can be unlocked. I have one of these cameras. Can somebody explain to me if this is so and what are the advantages of the unlocked mode and how do you do this?

This is the feature for 294MM Pro not your 294 non cooled colour camera.

I have the 294MM-Pro, which is a very nice camera. If you are using ASIAIR PRO then it is a simple matter of selecting Bin1 mode to unlock the higher resolution. Bin 2 mode is the standard mode. Don't forget to select the mode you want if setting up an autorun.
I've not used it with other software, but would imagine it is similar.
