I was curious, whether the ASI120MC-s will work with a ordinary telezoom lense. Recently, I aquired a Raynox Polaris 70-230 f/4.5 telezoom lense with T2 connection in an excellent condition. A 10mm spacer from TS as well as an adjustable spacer from SVBony helped a lot to get the proper backfocus of 55mm. The lens can be fixed on a dovetail directly, that helps a lot in mounting the 1.6 Kg on my iOptron Cube Pro.
Due to the bad weather condition over the last couple of weeks, I didn't have a chance to run many test with it. This week, I could catch the moon between some clouds. 2000 frames with the latest realease of ASICap. Gain=29, EXP=16ms, RAW16, SER-format. Temp=11.7C
230mm with an aperture of 16 (otherwise I couldn't get a sharp focus)
Preprocessed with PiPP. Stacked with SIRIL and processed with Astrosurface-Proxima.
