I hadn’t been able to plate solve on anything since 1.6 beta 14, many people on the FB AAP user group also report the same problem. I’ve already reported this problem via the feedback on the AAP app, and ZWO has replied to me and with some suggestions which are all failed.
I even restored a 1.4.2 backup to the SD card and deleted the AAP app form my iPad, re-download a fresh copy still doesn’t work, setting the FL to 0 also failed. Without plate solve auto center don’t work, planned mode don’t work, I am now back to use sky safari for goto function until this problem is resolved.
One other problem I’ve noticed is AAP keep drop the WiFi connection even when I connected through the TP-Link router, or the AAP show the mount is connected but when I press the direction button on screen the mount won’t move or try press the goto button nothing happen with the mount. I have to turn the mount button on AAP on and off a few times before it will work, all this time AAP is showing the mount is connected via serial. This will go on for about 30 mins or so then all of sudden is start to work again, I can slew the mount when press the direction control on screen. ( plate solve still doesn’t work).
I beginning to think this is some kind bug in the software to cause all this, on beta 13 or before I didn’t have the problem, I have use the AAP almost 2 years never had a problem with plate solve until now.
Any one else experience this problem?
