Hi,

I use the Tools->Star Detect feature when taking subs to monitor the FWHM value of each sub. If this value is increasing between subs it may indicate that the focus has changed, or that the mount is not tracking smoothly, or that condensation is forming on the corrector plate.

Monitoring FWHM using Tools->Star Detect allows me to readily monitor the quality of the images captured.

The problem is that when I turn on Star Detect for an image, and I leave it on, when a new sub is displayed Star Detect is turned off. I need to turn Star Detect on for every sub take. This also happens when I use image management to review stored images.

Is it possible for AAP to continue to display the FWHM value on all subs being displayed if Star Detect is turned on?

Steve.

+1 from me! One could even imagine the autofocus sequence to be automatically triggered based on given FWHM change in the course of an imaging session, much like current AAP allows to do it with temperature.
