12bit support on the ASI120mc color?

Hi,

I see that FC2.3 supports 12 bits in .ser file format in ASI120mm (the mono version). Is there any possibility to record 12 bits data with the ASI120mc (color version) with or without FC?. For me, speed is not a problem at all, but it's the depth as I want to test the possibility to make scientific measures with this little camera.

Also, if I understood correctly, Sam is (or will be) working on the linux API for the camera. That will be great! since I'm thinking on a device like raspberry pi to take the data.

FC don't support 16bit mode of ASI120MC

but the SDK of ASI support.

There is a new test version of SharpCap which will support 12bit of ASI120MC

you can ask Robin to test it http://www.sharpcap.co.uk/

Also there is a beta version of Linux sdk

Ok, I have updated Firecapture to 2.3 beta 10, but still can't set the 16 bit output, only 8 bits (both with bayered and debayered data).

The driver supports 12 bits in that camera, doesn't it?. Maybe I should contact Torsten?
