I have recently raised this issue in the Camera section but have not had a response so I thought I would try again here. When using ASIIMG, the time in the DATE-OBS field appears to be the end of exposure time, not the start which is the convention for FITS headers. This requires adjustment to observation timings before data can be submitted to the established variable star databases (eg AAVSO, BAAVSS) and should not be necessary. I have checked the time included in the DATE-OBS field in SIPS image capture software and found that to be correct. My questions are really for ASIStudio, -
1) Do you agree that the time is wrong ?
2) Is there anything I can do about it within the software ?
3) Do you plan to correct it ?
In other respects I am quite happy with this software, I find it straightforward and easy to use compared to alternatives.
