Thanks Sam. Still not sure about how to choose long exposure 'stills' or 'video' as the screen I see doesn't appear to give me an option that I can see (on attached).
After more tinkering, have realised how the us/ms/s options work. For anyone else wondering, they are micro-seconds, milli-seconds (I think) and seconds. Click the radio button for each to convert the exposure slider to each different time-scale. Presumably, that also takes care of my first question.
Am still wondering if there is a way to vary the output format on long exposures to give inidividual images (like Sharpcap produces with my modified web-cam), but unless I know different, will extract the frames from the video. My original questions were:
Hi - I've just bought an ASI120MM and am using Shaprcap. I wonder if someone could let me know whether there is a way to switch from planetary to long exposure mode, or does the camera do this automatically depending on the Exposure length?
Also, I'm not sure what the Para settings ""us/ms/s" in Video Capture Filter do and if one or another is best depending on what type of imaging is being done?
Lastly, when using a "long" exposure of 3 seconds per frame, the output file I get is an AVI playing the various frames within (so the frames have to be retrieved using other software?). Is there a way to change the output so that individual still frames are outputted?
Many thanks for looking and in advance for advice,
