ASI 1600MM cool and star halos

I have an explore scientific ed 102 refractor and a starfield .8 reducer .I use the asi1600mm cool with zwo gen1 narrowband filters. I get halos around bright stars.Will buying Astrodon or astronomik filters solve the halo issue. I donot want to buy new filters and have the same issue.

Do you use an additional UV/IR cut filter? Mono cameras need that because the filters do not sufficiently block that.

wvreeven So I should have my 2 inch uv/ir cut filter on my focal reducer when imaging with narrowband.This will help remove halos around bright stars.

I use one and it certainly reduces the halos. But it still doesn’t completely remove them. No guarantees that you need one as well!!!
