Hi guys, I am using an Asiair Pro with my 294mc pro on a SW Explorer150p-ds tube (with a MPCC Baader Mark III coma corrector). I have always had this problem where all my frames are bright green, but now I think it's time to know why. I am still able to stack images, and the final images are great. It's just that I want to be able to see well on the asiair pro. I asked on your facebook group, without any success. People told me to put the gain at 120 (about the unity gain), but I already did that. It didn't do anything. Here are some screenshots (Stacked image, 200gain and 30s exposure, 200gain 45s exposure, and reset function). I think it's important to mention that I am in Bortle 4 without any light sources. Thanks for your help. Stacked image : https://imgur.com/obAxcZv
I can see that the histogram shows the blue output to be low. The reduced blue signal is what is causing the image to appear green/yellow when stretched.
Is "white balance" turned on? (Main Camera Settings->Advanced Settings->Auto White Balance on Screen)
Steve
StevenEvan no I haven’t turned this option on. Thank you so much, I will do it next time I do astro.
