CEM40 Unstable Connection

Hi,
I've recent acquired a CEM40 and have run some stability tests on the connection between this mount and a MK1 ASIAIR.
I have found that the connection persistently fails after 10 minutes or so.
I'm using the iOptron cable between mount and ASIAIR and have connected to the correct mount port. Mount is powered via mains, ASI connected to a fully charged Tracer battery.
No other components connected at this stage.
Any thoughts on why this happens, greatly appreciated.

CEM40--USB cable--ASI Cooled Camera USB Hub/A external USB Hub--ASIAIR USB port.
It's an iOptron Chip issue with the ASIAIR driver.

Are you refering to the iPort socket, please?
I ask because of this warning:

Sorry tried to paste from the manual, but it didn,t work!
Basically, it warns against ST-4 connection, I wanted to be sure to not plug the ASI into an incompatible socket

Your CEM40 have a USB port on it, right? Then add a hub/ASI Camera USB Hub between mount and the ASIAIR.

Thanks, so to be clear:
Connect the mount to one of the USB2 out ports on my ASI1600 (bear in mind I have my EFW connected to the other port), then connect the ASI1600 to the ASIAIR?

Just to say I connect the mount to the camera as instructed, and connected EFW and guide camera to ASIAIR and powered-up. Pleased to report that configuration remained stable for over three hours. This was purely a bench test, but it bodes well fully-operational use.

Will a direct connection be available in a future firmware update for these new CEM40 and GEM45? I think everyone wants the most stable connection possible and not having to rely on jimmy-rigging the system to work with new mounts. It is horrible to drive hours to a dark site only for you to have equipment problems! Thank you!

Ioptron does not care about the AAP, they only ensure there is no issue on PC. It is not up to ZWO.
