jaygpoo I entered 20000 to get it half way out and all t will do is move 150 steps at a time.
Turn on the beep (since this is the ASIAIR thread, it is in Focuser Setting > Beep), and see if you hear a double beep from the EAF when you get the short movement. If you do, the EAF is hitting some hard stop (either the drawtube has reached the end, or the EAF motor axis is not co-axial with the OTA focuser's shaft. The slots in the flexible coupler should be perfectly even.
If you do hear a double beep, try reversing the direction (in Focuser Setting > Reverse) from its current setting. And try moving again. The reverse switch may have been reversed by accident.
If you do not hear a double beep, then the EAF may truly need to have firmware installed/reinstalled. You'll need a Windows computer to do that (ZWO is still living in the 20th century). You can also see if your dealer can update the firmware for you if you are running macOS or Linux.
