For anyone interested, All sky polar alignment now available as experimental feature in the new beta (available to download on TestFlight).

Now all I need some (much needed) clear skies.. nearly 3 weeks with cloud cover in UK … 😔

Remember that this is beta. There are more bugs than even the normal released version.

To go back to the older release App (v1.8), you need to also revert the firmware. The only way to do this is to update from an older firmware or just back up your current firmware. Be sure to do that first.

Are there any "How-to" or youtube-guide-videos with the new ASIair All-Sky PA feature out now? I haven't seen one yet and I think I'm too stupid for the instructions given by the app 😆

Until now I used the PS Align Pro App to roughly do a PA.. sometime it works.. some time not

That image were 25x 180sec/EXP (SH2-275) with a roughly PA and the guiding - whyever - did not work very well.

Tried it and it seemed to work well. Concerned over a scope that is not being monitored crashing into the mount during the process. I have a great view of Polaris and have the process down, so I will not be bothered with the new feature. Very happy for folks who are not as lucky and have an easier time because of this feature
