EAFconnection lost

Hello, I have an ASIAIR Pro since 4 months and I really like it. I use it with an Ipad Pro (ios14.2) . Three days ago I upgraded to solftware version 1.6.2 and firmware version 8.11 . But since 2 nights , (after 2 or 3 hours of "livestacking" ) I get the message "EAF connection lost" and then the message "reconnect EAF manually" . I tried to disconnect and reconnect USB plug and 12V plug but EAF cannot connect again ! I notice that telescope connection is also lost (losmandy -Gemini with the zwo serial-usb link).
I am obliged to completely stop and reboot the asiair pro device to connect again EAF and telescope.
Has anyone some idea about this trouble ? Is this associated with the 1.6.2 software version ?

If EAF and mount both disconnect, you need to check your power first:

Hello,
asiair pro is fed by LEDMO adapter 12V-10A .

on the asiair power outlets I only connect the EAF power plug
on the asiair USB outlets there are the EAF usb plug, the gemini with serial-usb adapter and the asi071mc pro usb outlet
asi071 cooling is fed by a separate power adapter and works fine
gemini (level4 associated with g11) is also fed by a separate power adapter.

Everything works fine until I get the message « EAF lost connection » and then « reconnect EAF _manually «
Do you think it is a power feeding problem or a usb problem ?

Hi Pierre,
We can only know this by using a seperate power adapter for EAF as well.
If issue is gone, meaning the issue is maybe on the asiair power outlets, you can switch to any other 3 to test again.

I have fixed a disconnected error message at shutdown last night. This fix applies to EAF and camera messages at shut down. My eaf worked fine but the message appeared at every shutdown of asiair.
The fix is…. Start up as normal, then unplug the EAF usb cable while asiair is running. A message will pop up regarding the eaf being disconnected. Plug the usb back in and go to the eaf menu, select eaf in list and turn on the eaf as it will be turned off from the disconnect. Now when you turn asiair off the message will be gone. It also works for the camera message too.
