I just got a Nikon camera adapter for my ZWO camera. My first night out using ZWO deep sky capture in the latest ASIStudio proved frustrating. There was just no way to get a decent capture with the gain settings that were offered. With the gain set to low, and my lens stopped all the way to f/22, there was still way too much light to deal with. With a gain option that offers user input, I would, and have been able to get a decent capture. I have an ASIAIR Pro, and it allows me to adjust the gain, and allows me to put in a specific shutter speed, and specific number of frames. Why these options are not available in your ASIStudio, yet are available in ASIAIR is a mystery to me. The fact that you have it in ASIAIR proves to me that you CAN do it. Are you trying to force people to buy ASIAIR? I simply would like to use 2 cameras to image with simultaneously. One doing deep sky through my telescope with my ASIAIR,and the second doing wide field on another camera controlled by my laptop. I have tried APT and it works for what I need, but can’t we try to keep it in the ZWO family if possible?
