I have recently started to use the Plan-Mode for my sessions.
What I don't understand is the chronological order in which some of the steps are performed.
When I resume a plan session, first of all the AAP waits for the guiding to be stable. After that in dithers which totally defeats the purpose if the waiting period prior. After the dither settled it performs its autofocus before starting the shooting.
Wouldn't it make more sense to autofocus, then dither, settle and fire?
What's the idea behind the current implementation?
