Power cable replacement.

Power light on my ASIair v1 is only coming on for about 8 secs and then going off.
Nothing connected , is this normal ? I,m loosing the power light sometimes during imaging so looking at reason. Do I replace the cable? If so where in the UK? I know it's 5.5 by 2.1 but it needs to take 3 amps and I,m sure I read in manual that a normal cable doesn't work.
is this right and can someone advise please.

Does the green LED (appears orange in color through the red plastic) that is right next to the red LED flash at all? That is the microSD card activity light.

If it does not flash rapidly over a few seconds, you may have a poorly seated card. With the ASIAIR powered off, pull it out by a few millimeters and reinsert it.

Did you recently turn off power to the ASIAIR without first softly powering it down from the main ASIAIR window? If so, you may have overwritten the firmware with trash.

Go back to your original backup and burn a new microSD card (the fastest way), or check the ZWO site for an image of the original firmware for the v1 ASIAIR, download and burn that, and then go through the prescribed way to relicense that image.

Chen thanks for coming back, yes the sd card flashes first.Mmm may not have closed down through ASI once or twice but do so now, however will try backup SD card. Again thanks.
checking out cable with another local ASIair user to see if it happens with his cable,if it does then it's the card.

Ah, if you have a friend with an ASIAIR, try his microSD card with your ASIAIR!

An unlicensed firmware will boot but the ASIAIR app will tell you the license is bad. But at least it will show quickly if it is just bad microSD card.
