The iOptron GEM28 only can be connected to the ASIAir Pro by USB (cables attached at the mount hand controller). The GEM28 and other iOptron mounts offers a second way: a Wi-Fi connection.
But ASIAir Pro only supports controlling a mount by
- serial/USB
or
- by network, but only cable based connection.
Is there any plan to add a third way to connect, by Wi-Fi? (iOptron has its default address at 10.10.100.256:8899)
Would be lovely to get rid of a lot of additional cables and the iOptron hand controller, which there is no need to use/useless, while controlling the mount and all other items by the brilliant ASIAir Pro.
