I am starting out with a AAP on a Panther TTS alt-az mount. So far, I am mounting the AAP on the refractor.
The Panther has a magnetic mounting point of the each of the altitude arms, located on the altitude axle. I utilize one for the hand pad, so one is free for other use.
If I attached a small steel plate to the AAP, could it be safely mounted via the Panther magnet?
