ASI 120mm Mini and ASI294MC Pro Crashed - Win10

Hi all,

I saw that there is several Discussion with this problem. I've an ASI 294Mc Pro and an ASI 120 MM Mini. I've got all them as well as the Mount connected to the same USB HUB. Every night when I try to connect both cameras the 120 mm Mini is disconnected from PHD2 but Also dessapears from Control Panel (Win10). If I connect each camera directly to a different USB Port, all works fine. So thinking about it, this could not be a problem with PHD2 or Win10, so I've a friend who has an ASI2600MC and a QHY L5-III, both connected to the same USB HUB that I have, as well as the Mount and the DSLR connection for the PiggyBack and ALL works fine.

Can ZWO help me or fix this problem and let us know urgently? Has anyone solved this Issue?

Hello,
Can you try without this hub just connect to computer directly to see if it works fine?
If this is a hub compatibility issue, we don't make any promises that every hub should be OK with our camera, you have to change another hub to continue.

@tech@zwo#49522 Hi dear, the problem is that when you use both cameras the problem exist despite you use a Hub or both cameras 1 camera/1 USB directly to the PC. If the computer is turned-on with both cameras plugged, PHD2 found only 1 (allways Asi294MC) despite wich option you choose CAMERA (1)(ASCOM), CAMERA (2)(ASCOM) or ZWO ASI Camera. I think that as both cameras use the same driver something is wrong with this.

My suggest is that ZWO design its own Autoguiding Software to use with ASI STUDIO and all solved 😄 .

Hi All,

Well, I've got the Solution thanks to PHD2 Group. Firstly let me say that the USB HUB is working fine and has no problems.

Further comms with PHD2 members, the Autoguiding software needs to built the first Profile with the Guiding camera plugged only, its mean the Imaging camera MUST be unplugged. Do you have an old Profile, I suggest you to dlete zll them in order to get a Clear Profle. Once is done, and you connect the Imaging camera , you can choice the Autoguiding camera Clicking USB Icon on the Bottom Left of the PHD2 at the Fork Icon, or two arrows Icon, pls see the attached Image, the Icon is inside a Orange Square) and click on the desired Camera. With this option PHD2 will use the Autoguiding Camera despite both are connected and both to an USB HUB. pls, remember that as the new Cameras demmand more power, you'll need a Self powered USB HUB, its mean with its own power supply (15$ cost only) so a lot of PCs and Laptops USB Ports are not available to provide with all the Power that we need. Since now all is working Fine.

Now its time to solve guiding issues that doesn't allow me to take exposures over 300s.......... We allways will have a little problem to solve 😁.
