Hi,
I've been having trouble using my ASIAir while connected to an portable power source.
I am using the GoalZero Sherpa 50 Power bank (https://www.goalzero.com/shop/sherpa-power-banks-and-accessories/sherpa-50-power-bank-inverter/ - my version has a 220V AC converter rather than an 110V one). When using the 220V power outlet with a 12V/3A power supply, everything runs smoothly.
However, one of the main reasons I bought this specific power bank was its ability to provide 12V/8A through its 6mm DC connection (green hexagon connection in the picture). Sadly, when I try using this port, I get some interruption in the power supply, casuing the AAP to reset every few minutes. Definitely a no go.
Does anyone have an idea how to debug this situation? I suspect there is some sort of fluctuation in the power level (either voltage or amperage) provided by the power bank. Any recommendations as to how to make sure there are no power spikes (or valleys)?
Thanks,
Jon
