Hi, I am the proud owner of a new ASI 2600, I have most of the software installed but came to a place in the ASCOM drivers installation where there are 5 drivers that can be installed by selecting tick boxes along the side of the short descriptions ZWO gives to them, or perhaps that ASCOM gives them, either way, problem is I am not familiar with all the acronyms that describe what each of them is for.
I'm guessing the first line in the attached, (I hope), image of these five is the driver to operate the camera via ASCOM, I think the second and third lines are the drivers needed to operate a filter wheel and electronic focuser neither of which I have. My best guess for the last two are that they are the drivers to allow guiding commands to flow (either) from a control laptop to the ST-4 port on the mount, or the driver to allow the camera to send the guiding commands to the mount.
My choice would be to guide the mount via my laptop which connects to a USB 3 hub I have mounted on the mount/scope and of course from there via a usb2 cable to the st-4 port on the mount.
If I have this analogy correct then I'd need only select the first and fourth drivers?
Or could it be that if I download all five drivers then connect the guide cables as I described it would operate correctly anyway, as in I could connect the st-4 port on the mount to either the camera or the hub but not both at once, and since there is no focuser or filter wheel connected the drivers installed for them simply remain idle?
Note if the url below does not work, well I'll have wasted my time here but I'll get it figured out anyhow, thanks for looking.
