marcdota Do we have a means to avoid being forced to update to 1.7 and still be able to use the ASIAir Pro and the app while we're waiting for a fix to be pushed to the app stores?
Since the title of this thread refers to Android, you can revert back to v1.6 by searching the Android device for an older APK file.
You will also need an older version of the firmware. Any firmware version 8.11 or earlier should work with ASIAIR app v1.6.2. For example, your original microSD backup should work. There is also a copy of the very oldest firmware on a Google drive too (a 11 GB RAR file that uncompresses into a 32GB IMG file that you can burn into a microSD card).
Just boot the Raspberry Pi up with a copy of the older firmware, and then revert the ASIAIR app with the older APK file (I think ZWO has a repository for old APKs too). When the ASIAIR v1.6.2 app launches, it will update the firmware to version 8.11.
On iOS and iPadOS, there is a setting to keep the device from automatically updating apps. Older IPK files (the iOS equivalent of the Android APK) are not saved on an Apple device however, and if you hadn't be backing up the IPKs by using something like iMazing, then there is no way to revert the app version.
