My ASIAir Pro with the latest firmware fails to automatically perform a meridian flip and I have to stop processing to do the flip manually from the gemini 2 hand controller. The AAP tries to do the flip but only moves the scope a few degrees, tries to plate solve and center, but fails, even after multiple attempts.
I've seen this behavior with the AAP on polar alignment as well, where the scope is supposed to automatically rotate 60 degrees but doesn't. The solution with polar alignment is to disable mount control on the AAP and move the scope manually, just as with the meridian flip. But the AAP polar alignment routine allows for this, where the meridian flip has no such option.
Is this a known problem with the AAP connected to the Losmandy gemini 2? Are others having a similar experience and if so, is there a workaround, such as certain mount control settings either within
the AAP app or gemini 2? Any help is appreciated.
